Colombian international, David Ospina is reportedly close to a move away from the Emirates Stadium and a deal is likely to be completed this week according to a report from Fanatik.

The 28-year-old shot-stopper has been frustrated with his inability to dislodge legendary keeper, Petr Cech from the Arsenal first team in recent years, and is close to a switch to the Turkish outfit, who have long been linked with a move for the former Nice number one.

Ahead of a World Cup year, Ospina knows the importance of playing regularly if he is to make the Colombia squad next summer, and believes time is right to leave north London after a hugely successful three years, which has seen him lift two FA Cups in three years.

Despite impressing in cup competitions last season, Ospina is keen on becoming he undisputed number one, as he doesn’t currently play in Premier League matches unless Cech is injured.

In the FA Cup final last month, he was exceptional, but it seems his time at the club is over as reports suggest that he is due to fly to Instabul to finalise the deal, and reports in Turkey state that the deal could be wrapped up as early as June 17.

Wenger made the decision to play former Chelsea man, Cech in the Premier League while Ospina held sway in the cup competitions such as the arrangement Claudio Bravo and Ter Stegen had while at Barcelona, as both goalkeepers are too good to be second fiddle.

A deal in the region of £7m is rumored to be the transfer fee, while personal terms have been agreed already. He is known for his excellent reflexes, shot stopping and aerial ability despite his relatively short height for a goalkeeper. He joined Arsenal in 2014 after the World Cup and has made 50 appearances in total.
